Rock Leaf’s Water Resource Scientist is proficient with bathymetric mapping, which entails mapping the size, shape, and distribution of underwater features. Additionally, this process can include noting deposit and scour zones and mapping changes in lakebed or river bottom relief depicted by color and contour lines called depth contours or isobaths.

Bathymetric mapping is helpful in multiple projects, such as aquatic invasive species delineations, mussel reintroductions, and determining the extent of scour from an outfall pipe.
