Shelly holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Leadership and over 20 years of organizational leadership. She holds certifications in Wetland Delineation & Permitting, AIS Detector & Management, and ArcGIS Pro Mapping. Shelly serves as an elected board member of the Sherburne Soil and Water Conservation District and a member of the MN DNR Aquatic Invasive Species Advisory Committee. She contributes to several committees to support opportunities and growth for small businesses.

Shelly formed Rock Leaf in order to build an environmental company that provides quick responses to businesses and the government. Her mission is to improve our land, air, and water by meeting our communities’ needs with an environmental focus and supporting quality local employment with excellent customer service. Rock Leaf was awarded In the Lead: Best Women-Owned Businesses by Finance & Commerce in September 2024
